My Top 5 Fat Loss Breakfasts and Why.
So it’s claimed to be the most important meal of the day but why?
Well what you feed your body first thing in the morning ultimately sets up your body, brain function and our hormones for the day.
I opt for a fats and protein based breakfast for the simple reasons of;
- Sustained energy release throughout the start of your day,
- Keeps your body burning bodyfat for energy release throughout your morning,
- Lower rise in blood sugar levels keeping carb cravings at bay,
- Keeps you feeling fuller for longer,
- Is optimal for brain function.
So here are my top 5 Breakfasts;
2 full eggs, 4 egg whites,handful of spinach,mixed peppers,some feta cheese all fried in a teaspoon of organic coconut oil.
Fillet steak & Eggs;
A fillet steak fried in a teaspoon of garlic butter, Cook steak in pan leave leftover juice and butter and fry a large portion of spinach on pan.
Top spinach with 2 poached eggs.
2 eggs,2 egg whites, 1 scoop of high quality Isolate whey protein,teaspoon of chia seeds,teaspoon of almond butter,mix in a blender and fry pancake mix in coconut oil for added sweetness,top with a tablespoon of full fat greek yogurt.
Turkey Rashers, Sausage & Avocado
Grill turkey sausage & Rashers add half an avocado,mash avocado with spring onion,red onion,peppers and add in a sprinkle of balsamic vinegar. Serve on a bed of wilted spinach.
Egg in a cup;
The old kiddies favourite*
Boil 6 eggs, let them cool,peel eggs and put in a large mug or bowl and mash with a pinch of salt,pepper and a good serving of real butter like kerrygold.
Use 2 full eggs and 4 egg whites.
*Recent research has shown that children that start there day off with a fats & protein breakfast have shown that behavior and concentration levels are at an all time high and often lasts into the late afternoon against children that would opt for a high sugar cereal style breakfast.
