How to do healthy shopping
How to shop and how to live a Healthy Life
I’m sure you have heard it all………. Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Paleo, Caveman, but this here is no trend it is the past the present and the future.
I’m afraid I have no fancy name for this way of eating, as this has become the trend of late.
Everyone must be attached to a certain group be it Paleo or Cavemen.
I strongly believe in one Ingredient foods, No processing just natural foods a good healthy balance of natural fats, carbs and protein to build up some lean muscle tissue, which in turn will spike our metabolism.
As agriculture has only been around for the last 10,000 years and generally our bodies have not yet evolved quickly enough to adapt to the modern diet of Dairy, and certain grain based foods, our bodies are still made to live off and process fresh meat, fish, fruit, nuts and vegetables. This will keep our bodies functioning to the best of our abilities and keep our brain free of “brain fog” this is what you feel after eating say a pizza; bloating, cramps, sleepiness and then the lazy brain that barely manages to think by itself!
When food shopping I would naturally stay well clear of Jars, Packets and basically anything with a shelf life of no more than a few days.
Give or take the odd packet of seasoning.
It’s the additives/chemicals that keep these foods “fresh”. These are the foods that will hinder body composition.
Think back to when you were a child… When milk came in glass jars with thick cream on top? That milk lasted 3-4 days in a fridge before it went off now milk will last for at least 10days. This shows the amount of processing our milk goes through.
There is a high number of our population that are lactose intolerant, this can cause cramps, bloating and damage our gut health.
I recommend buying free range or organic meats, fish and eggs.
You would be very surprised with the additives that will be in the likes of farmed salmon, chicken breasts, and eggs for example as these are the most eaten foods I find when chatting with people.
By feeding animals chemicals and injecting them with growing agents all these chemicals will be traced in our foods so for the men if you don’t want moobs buy organic or free range chicken breasts not the cheap ones and for the ladies to keep your hormones ticking over like clockwork steer well clear of farmed chicken and eggs and try eat one meal per day based on red meat.
